Real Madrid Mulling Bas Dost Attack Boost

Cristiano Ronaldo’s summer departure has left Real Madrid deprived of a sharp cutting edge upfront and it is believed that the club hierarchy is actively pursuing attacking reinforcements.

The lack of effectiveness leaves Real Madrid trailing eight points behind league leaders Barcelona with only 24 goals scored in 16 matches.

The likes of Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi and Eden Hazard have long been mentioned as Real Madrid’s top transfer target but the Spanish media now report that Los Blancos are analyzing attacking alternatives that could be easier to obtain.

In that regard, Diario AS claims Real Madrid are looking to land Bas Dost from Sporting CP. Dutch international forward has racked up 16 goals in 15 matches across all competitions for the Portuguese giants and is being considered as a January transfer target by Real Madrid.

The Spanish power force are keen to make the 29-year-old Dutchman a golden sub for first-choice forward Karim Benzema who has not been in his best form this season.
