Many people consider Cristiano Ronaldo to be the best football player in the world, but even a superstar like him must think about the end of his career at some point, and that time seems to be swiftly arriving.

According to El Mundo Deportivo the Portuguese legend is interested in a potential move to new MLS side Los Angeles FC, and he would act as the team’s marquee signing in their first season in the American league.

Ronaldo has just one goal in La Liga so far this season, which puts him 11 behind his eternal rival Lionel Messi in the scoring charts, and it is perhaps his and Real Madrid’s poor form that has prompted him to think about a move.

The player himself has admitted that no decision will be made until after the 2018 World Cup, where he will look to help Portugal achieve the remarkable feat of holding the European Championship title at the same time as the World Cup.

Should he decide his time in the Spanish capital is indeed up at the end of the season, Ronaldo will likely have a plethora of offers on the table. However a move to the MLS would be huge for the sport’s development in North America as they would be welcoming one of the greatest players in footballing history.
